Founded in 1915 in Salem, New Jersey, by John Boston Campbell (a Scottish immigrant). Still headquartered in Salem, New Jersey, and privately held by the Campbell family. Zack Zehner (John Boston Campbell's great-great grandson) is Chairman of the Board.

Operates under a set of Core Values: Care, Do the Right Thing, Work Hard/Play Hard, Control Our Own Destiny. Committed to sustainability and corporate social responsibility.

In 2023 signed onto the United Nations Global Compact, demonstrating a commitment to advancing best practices concerning human rights, labor, the environment and anti-corruption. Mannington Mills is one of only a select few flooring manufacturers to have taken this step.

2025 marks the company’s 110th year--a milestone reached by less than one percent of family-owned businesses. Industry experts rank Mannington Mills the fifth largest flooring manufacturer in the world.
