Part-Time Seasonal Logistics (Mellon)

Job Description

The Event Staff will be responsible for managing the venue on event days, coordinating and overseeing vendors in the buildings and driveways for load-in and load-out, and providing event support to ensure seamless execution of events.

Other responsibilities include, but not limited to:

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works closely with the Venue Operations Manager and Venue Operations Assistant Manager to ensure smooth and pristine preparations, execution, and breakdown of events.
  • Manages all event set-up, tear down and follow-up processes on-site for events.
  • Provides superior customer service to the clients, guests, and vendors.
  • Liaises with the Venue Operations Assistant Manager to ensure events follow the planned production logistics; identifies the client’s requirements and expectations of the event to make the appropriate and best decision for last-minute changes.
  • Supervises all vendors entering and exiting the building; ensuring they follow all Vendor Guidelines appropriately, most importantly protecting all historical finishes, specifically all doors and floors.
  • Supervises all security personnel to ensure the safety and security of those in the building, the building itself, ensuring a security guard is posted at each open door, and manages vehicle access to the driveways.
  • Develops and maintains ongoing business relationships with the venue management team, facilities personnel (GSA, janitorial, engineering teams), vendors, and clients.
  • Performs other duties associated with the position that are reasonably assigned to support the overall needs of the business”.
  • Logistics-oriented, hyper-organized, and an efficient and effective problem-solver.
  • Able to handle stressful situations, remain calm and solve problems at the same time.
  • Outgoing personality with excellent customer service skills.
  • Understanding of the importance of the Ridgewells and Mellon brands and its missions are a must.
  • Ability to work extended hours including early mornings, late nights, weekends and holidays as required by events.
