Description
What You Will Do
- Develop and execute materials strategies that align with sales forecasts, operational objectives, and financial goals.
- Establish and maintain optimal inventory levels to support customer service targets and working capital performance.
- Monitor and drive key KPIs including inventory turns, on-time delivery, schedule attainment, and material availability.
- Lead Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and capacity alignment across Sales and Operations.
- Direct master production scheduling (MPS) and release of manufacturing work orders (make-to-order and make-to-stock).
- Monitor work-in-process (WIP), resolve bottlenecks, and ensure accurate promise dates with proactive communication.
- Own ERP/MRP system integrity, including BOMs, routings, item master data, lead times, forecasts, and planning parameters.
- Drive continuous improvement in system utilization, reporting, and data accuracy to support cost control and planning effectiveness.
- Partner with Purchasing to validate MRP outputs, ensure timely procurement, and improve supplier performance and lead time.
- Lead, coach, and develop production planning and inventory teams while fostering cross-functional collaboration.
- Oversee physical inventory and cycle count programs, ensure compliance with internal controls, and report operational performance to senior leadership.
What You Will Have
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience may be considered.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications particularly Word and Excel.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in production planning, materials management, or related roles within a manufacturing environment
- Experience in make-to-order and make-to-stock manufacturing operations.
- Strong knowledge of MPS/MRP systems and ERP database management.
- APICS CPIM or other relevant supply chain certification preferred.
