Vice President, Equities Product Development – Product Delivery

Job Summary:

As a key member of the Equities Product Development team, the Vice President will play a critical role in driving the implementation of product and platform initiatives to accelerate the growth of HKEX’s equities business. This role demands a seasoned professional with deep industry knowledge, outstanding stakeholder management capabilities, hands-on experience in leading and executing major system and operational enhancements, along with a strong commitment to advancing Hong Kong’s financial markets.

• Drive the enhancement of cross-departmental systems and operational workflows to ensure seamless readiness for both product and project launches. This includes identifying process gaps, coordinating with relevant teams, and implementing improvements.
• Facilitate regular updates and maintain cross-team alignment by organizing structured communication channels, progress reviews, and stakeholder briefings. Ensure that all involved parties are informed, engaged, and working toward shared objectives.
• Monitor project progress and provide timely reporting to senior management and stakeholders. Track key milestones, manage risks, and escalate issues proactively to ensure projects remain on schedule and within scope.
• Address and resolve implementation challenges by applying problem-solving skills and leveraging cross-functional expertise.
• Oversee and ensure the completeness of internal system testing. Collaborate closely with IT and business units to validate system performance and ensure alignment with business requirements.
• Conduct annual project planning and budget management, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, cost efficiency, and timely reporting to senior management.
• Support the development of junior implementation managers by providing guidance on reviewing work, and fostering technical, leadership, and professional growth.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the financial industries, with a strong track record in project management and stakeholder engagement. Prior roles within exchanges, clearing houses, or brokerage firms are highly preferred.

• Excellent presentation and advocacy skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and influence stakeholders effectively.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and logical reasoning abilities.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English is essential; knowledge of Chinese and Putonghua is advantage.
