PENNIE ENROLLMENT SPECIALIST

Adagio Health | Southwest Pennsylvania | Hybrid Position | Full-Time

$23-$25/hour * Commensurate with experience

You will work directly with community members to connect them with affordable health insurance through Pennie, Pennsylvania's official health insurance marketplace, while building meaningful partnerships that strengthen health outcomes across our 10-county region.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PENNIE ENROLLMENT SPECIALIST

Picture yourself as a trusted guide for community members navigating one of life's most important decisions: their healthcare coverage. Your day combines direct client service with strategic community building. In the morning, you might help a family find an affordable plan that covers their medications and preventive care. By afternoon, you could be hosting an enrollment event at a partner organization or training a community health worker on Pennie eligibility basics.

Every enrollment you complete represents a family gaining protection from medical financial hardship. Your documentation and reporting demonstrate measurable impact-and your relationship-building across a 10-county region in Southwest Pennsylvania ensuring that no one navigates the healthcare system alone.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Guide individuals and families through health insurance options available through Pennie, Medicaid, and CHIP
  • Conduct enrollment appointments in-person, by phone, and at community events throughout Southwest Pennsylvania
  • Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations, social service agencies, and healthcare providers to expand enrollment reach
  • Host and participate in outreach events, health fairs, and community education sessions
  • Train community partners on eligibility requirements and the enrollment process
  • Maintain accurate client records and produce timely documentation and reports demonstrating program impact
  • Travel regularly within the 10-county service region to meet clients and partners where they are

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in social work, public health, healthcare administration, or a related field-or equivalent relevant experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with health insurance enrollment, including Pennie, ACA marketplace platforms, Medicaid, and/or CHIP
  • Demonstrated expertise in eligibility determination and consumer assistance
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with diverse audiences
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a regional caseload independently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly across the service region

Additional Skills

  • Bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred-additional compensation may apply
  • Background in case management, care navigation, or community health work
  • Experience working with underserved or diverse populations
  • Familiarity with FQHC or Title X-funded healthcare environments

While women's health is a primary focus for the organization, reproductive health, breast & cervical cancer screening, & preventive health services are also offered to men, teens, members of the LGBTQ+ community, & anyone in need of care in a welcoming, confidential setting.
