How you'll contribute:
A Patient Care Assistant who excels in this role:
• Performs basic patient care as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, possible blood glucose measurements, and accurate intake/output recording.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, eating, toileting, ambulation).
• Observes and promptly reports abnormal physical, mental, or emotional findings to nursing staff.
• Keeps patient rooms and common areas clean, safe, and appropriately stocked.
• Manages the tech desk; supports nursing/physician staff and department throughput.
• Documents care and activities per unit standards.
• Participates in performance improvement and required education; performs other duties as assigned.

Protected Health Information Accessed: Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, Financial, Complete Medical Record.
Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure: Occupational exposure may be present for all employees in this role.
Physical Requirements (typical): Frequent standing, walking, reaching, keyboard entry, repetitive hand/arm and foot/leg movements, kneeling, and lifting/moving patients; occasional sitting and squatting; rare running or climbing. Near/far vision and depth perception frequent/constant; color distinction frequent.
Environmental Exposures: Occasional exposure to biohazardous waste, communicable diseases/pathogens, dust, gases/vapors/fumes, hazardous chemicals/medications; latex exposure frequent.

What we're looking for:
Education: High School diploma preferred.
License: SRNA or EMT preferred.
Certifications: BCLS required; Handle with Care preferred.
