Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design of CI/CD strategies and infrastructure automation
- Optimize reliability, performance, and security across services
- Handle major incident response and root cause analysis (RCA)
- Drive cost optimization and capacity planning
- Mentor junior and mid-level DevOps engineers and champion best practices

Qualifications
Required Skills
- Experience: 5–7 years in DevOps/SRE/Systems Engineering
- Strong automation and scripting skills
- Deep expertise in at least one cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- Advanced Kubernetes knowledge (multi-cluster, scaling, upgrades)
- Track record designing resilient, scalable, and secure systems
- In-depth knowledge of observability/monitoring and incident management
- Proficiency in security hardening and compliance-minded engineering
- Familiar with security and compliance practices (IAM, encryption, SOC2, PCI, HIPAA as relevant)
Soft Skills
- Clear, concise communication in English within distributed teams (B2/C1 level)
- Growth mindset with a bias for automation, measurement, and continuous improvement
- Pragmatic problem-solving and customer-centric thinking
- Experience collaborating in Agile teams (Scrum/Kanban)
Value-Add / Nice-to-Have Skills
- GitOps (Argo CD or Flux)
- Service Mesh (Istio/Linkerd)
- Event streaming (Kafka)
- Secrets management (Vault, AWS KMS/Azure Key Vault)
- FinOps practices and cost observability
- Security best practices (OWASP Top 10, SLSA, SBOM/SCAs)
Success Profile
Your Impact (30/60/90 Days)
- 30 days: map platform health and risk areas; propose an improvement plan
- 60 days: implement high-impact CI/CD or cost-optimization initiative
- 90 days: lead an RCA and drive systemic fixes across teams

This information reflects Brightstar Lottery’s good-faith estimate of compensation for this position at the time of publication. Actual compensation will be determined in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and internal compensation policies. Factors that we consider include, but are not limited to, role, career level, performance, skills, level of expertise, experience, location, market competitiveness, and internal equity. The estimated starting compensation range is 161,559 zł – 248,552 zł. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

This position is governed by collective bargaining agreement, which regulates the main terms and conditions of employment, including minimum salary levels, classification, working hours, leave, and other employment rights.
