Job Description
Project – the aim you’ll have
You'll be part of a collaborative, cross-functional team working on high-impact features that enhance system users experiences. As Technical Project Manager, you'll ensure smooth day-to-day operations, sprint execution, and alignment across engineering, design, QA, and leadership. The client is a leading UK-based organization investing in next-generation solutions and building a culture of ownership, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Position – how you’ll contribute
- Own sprint planning, management, and execution to ensure delivery is on track and aligned with project goals.
- Write and refine user stories, tickets, and acceptance criteria in collaboration with product and engineering teams.
- Lead bug triage sessions, prioritize technical debt, and coordinate timely resolution of production issues.
- Ensure efficient day-to-day coordination between squad members, design, QA, and project leadership.
- Facilitate standups, retrospectives, sprint reviews, and planning sessions to maintain team velocity and morale.
- Track sprint progress, identify blockers early, and escalate risks to stakeholders with actionable plans.
- Maintain clear documentation of project scope, decisions, dependencies, and timelines.
- Act as the communication bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating requirements and technical constraints.
Expectations – the experience you need
- Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager, Scrum Master, or similar role in agile software delivery environments.
- Strong understanding of sprint management, backlog grooming, and agile ceremonies.
- Hands-on experience writing detailed user stories, tickets, and acceptance criteria.
- Ability to lead bug triage and prioritize technical work alongside feature delivery.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams including engineering, design, and QA.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to influence without authority.
- Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar.
- Technical awareness to understand engineering discussions, risks, and dependencies.
Additional skills – the edge you have
- Experience in backend or full-stack development environments (TypeScript, Node.js, or similar).
- Background working with distributed systems, microservices, or event-driven architectures.
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes, DevOps practices, and deployment workflows.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar agile certification.
- Experience working in high-growth or startup-like environments with fast iteration cycles.
