J.D. Irving, Limited is currently seeking candidates for the position of Dispatcher located in Saint John, New Brunswick.
- Coordinate and schedule round wood trucks using dispatch software
- Update dispatch software to reflect actual load and unloading times
- Provide directions to loader and destination locations
- Order route permits
- Manage route accuracy
- Prepare reports for management
- Post-secondary degree/diploma in a related field such as Business, Logistics, Supply Chain is not required but considered an asset
- Years of Experience Required: <2 years
- Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Strong multi-tasking skills
- Self-Starter with ability to work alone
- Strong communication skills
- Adaptable to constantly changing priorities
- Ability to work rotating shiftwork schedule in a 24/7 environment
