POSITION AVAILABLE FOR THE 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR
Health Services Class 4 LPN Education Assistant
School to be determined
Seven hours per day, which includes 6.5 hours of paid work time and 30 minutes of unpaid lunch time
$26.16 - $28.90 per hour based on the current Education Assistant contract salary schedule for Class 4 LPNs, plus benefits
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assess patient/student needs. Report to RN/LSN when needed.
- Collaborate and communicate with other health care providers
- Provide health care information within the scope of practice.
- Provide input in the development of policies and procedures.
- Monitor and maintain student immunization information based on state law.
- Administer medication to students as delegated by the LSN and in accordance with district policies and procedures.
- Will be trained to perform selected emergency procedures and student specific nursing tasks (changing students, supporting center-based classrooms with personal hygiene needs, tube feed students).
- Assist with school health office functions and their planning and preparation (e.g. vision screening, hearing screening) as directed by LSN.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid license from the Board of Nursing.
- Current first aid certification.
- Current CPR certification.
- Computer and other clerical skills.
- Ability to work well with students, staff and parents.
- Able to attend work regulary and report to work in a timely manner.
