
Peer Recovery Specialist - New Pathways Project
Job Description
The Recovery Support Services (RSS) program, an enhancement service for the New Pathways Project, provides non-clinical services that assist individuals in recovery from substance use disorders to gain the skills and resources needed to initiate, maintain, and sustain long-term recovery. The Peer Recovery Specialist utilizes their own lived experience with substance use recovery to foster trust, promote empowerment, provide emotional support and encouragement, help individuals build coping skills for maintaining sobriety, and assist individuals in navigating treatment, resources, and community support systems. This role involves collaboration with clinical teams, if necessary, advocacy, and engagement with individuals to support their recovery journey.
