JOB DESCRIPTION
TITLE: Engineering Specialist
Engineering Specialist responsibilities provide engineering and quality support to Crown Packaging, as directed by Engineering and Quality Management.
DESCRIPTION:
- Assist with new part introduction including pack development support, data entry, and any required sample procurement.
- Support maintenance of engineering documents, bills of materials, change management processes and retention, including affected databases (Crown and customer Db’s), as required.
- Provide value-engineering support for cost and process improvement. This includes but is not limited to Re-engineered Savings, Best Practices, Time Studies, and Process Analysis support.
- Provide Quality Management System (QMS) support, including maintenance, retention, reporting, communication, and auditing as directed by management.
- Perform customer interface including email, phone calls, meetings, etc.
- Provide support for special projects and other locations, perform other duties as requested or assigned by management.
- Address management and customer concerns timely, professionally, and accurately
REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: minimum H.S /G.E.D. diploma
- Sound mathematical skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, fractions, decimals, with proven ability to use a calculator and read tape measure.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with proven attention to detail.
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and all reporting software
- Able to lift to 25 lbs, able to sit, stand and walk around for extended periods at a time.
