Job Description
What You’ll Do: Responsible for the site operation at the customer’s location; this includes driver, office, and customer related issues. Assists Transportation Manager to help create a sense of partnership between the customer and USX. Manages equipment utilization. Manages all aspects related to drivers. Manages office staff personnel. Provides on-time service. Assists Transportation Manager with the following: Customer shipping needs Accounting for all shipments via a weekly service report. Developing a sense of trust and integrity with the customer. Assuring all fleet maintenance programs are current on tractors and trailers. Documenting and communicating all service related issues. Analyzing volume figures to forecast surges in business. Reviewing all credit, collection, and aging reports to increase cash flow. Coordinating lot checks and review for stale trailers/ Performs job performance evaluations and takes necessary actions to assure employees are working at capacity. Ensures customer service and on-time delivery are achieved. Participate in rotational off-site on-call duty (possible nights/weekends). Performs any other duties assigned based on customer or business needs
