As a  Surgical Technologist II you will be  responsible for assisting the surgical staff and nursing personnel in the perioperative care of the patient in the operating room and providing technical support to the surgical team. In this role, you will provide inventory control and management and administrative duties in the absence of the administrative assistant. Provides Surgical Technical Support to the surgical team. Scrubs for assigned procedures, assisting the surgeon during the procedure. Prepares the operating room for the surgical procedure. Performs other duties as may be assigned or directed in order to meet the goals and objectives of the department.

Full time surgical technologist. There are on call requirements for this position. This position will work 8 hours/5 days.

Minimum Education and/or Training:

  • Associate’s degree in Surgical Technology or completion of a surgical technician program is required.

Minimum Experience:

  • Five (5) years of experience as a surgical technician in a hospital or ambulatory surgical center is required

Licensure, Registration and/or Certification Required by Law:

  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) required.

Compensation

In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $22.00 - $38.50 per hour for the role of Surgical Technologist II.
