
Marine Designer / Drafter

Position Overview:
We are seeking talented and motivated marine designers and drafters to support the development of autonomous surface vessels. This role will provide hands-on experience in traditional vessel design and advanced autonomous technologies; driving impact in defense innovation.
Responsibilities
· Support new vessel construction through detailed 2D and 3D modeling and technical drawing production
· Create and modify ship construction drawings
· Work directly with naval architects, marine engineers, and electrical engineers on new vessel design implementation
· Maintain strict drawing standards
· Create documentation for marine regulatory compliance
Work Experience
Qualifications
· Associate degree or technical certification in Drafting, Engineering Technology or similar field of study
· Minimum 3 – 5 years of CAD drafting experience
· Strong fundamentals in one or more areas of vessel design: general design, mechanical design, electrical design, structural design, and piping design
· Knowledge of maritime regulatory requirements, construction tolerances, and vessel construction processes and sequences
· Proficiency with 2D and 3D CAD software like NX, ShipConstructor, AutoCAD, and Rhino

Physical Demands:
