Outside Sales Rep - High End Technology Integration

Location: Lake Orion, MI (SoundCheck)

Reporting To: Rob, CEO

Compensation: $110,000 - $250,000 / year

The work is roughly what you'd expect: bring in revenue, grow the client and referral relationships that keep it coming, run a clean pipeline, and hit your monthly number.

What You Will Do For SoundCheck

  • Develop Referral Network - Cultivate a steady flow of project work from Architects, GCs, Owners’ Reps, Interior Designers, and other adjacent trades.
  • Client Relationships - Land clients, keep them happy, and turn them into a source for more referrals.
  • Close Deals - Revenue is the metric. If an activity doesn’t move money, it’s not yours to worry about — we have Engineers, Project Managers, Installers, Programmers, and Service Techs for everything that happens after the sale.
  • Pipeline Management - Log leads, opportunities, & activities in our CRM
  • Networking - Attend various networking, industry, and social events

  • Best fit: A residential or commercial technology integration firm.
  • Adjacent fits: Owner’s Rep; Architectural Rep; Outside Sales Rep for a high-end product, Business Development for a trade (electrical, pools, wine rooms, kitchens)


What SoundCheck Will Provide For You

Base + Commissions
  • Base = $60k
  • Project Commission = 5% (Or better) of Pre-Tax Gross Sales
  • Year 1: Sales >$1.0M/yr ($110k+ In Comp)
  • Year 2: Sales >$2.0M/yr ($160k+ In Comp)
  • Year 3: Sales >$2.4M/yr ($180k+ In Comp)
