Director of Financial Management
Job Description
NASA Federal Credit Union is seeking a Director of Financial Management to oversee all financial management duties, including general ledger reconciliations, tax reporting, internal and external audits, fixed assets and prepaids, CECL, employee payroll, and financial analysis and reporting for the Credit Union and its CUSOs.
The Director of Financial Management will establish, modify, document, and coordinate the implementation of accounting policies and internal control procedures. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements for applicable functional areas, while maintaining an awareness of broader regulatory expectations within the banking industry.
The role will interface with senior staff to implement new products and services for members, while ensuring that general ledger setup and reporting conform to FASB, GAAP, and NCUA guidelines. Additionally, the Director will perform ongoing financial system reviews and lead system upgrades to improve efficiencies, including the integration of third-party interfaces into the core accounting system, and will coordinate with external auditors and regulatory examiners.
This position will require you to commute to our Corporate Office in Upper Marlboro, MD periodically.
