About the Role
The Dog Gurus are seeking experienced pet care business owners to join our coaching team. As a Coach, you will mentor and guide fellow pet care professionals, providing expert advice and support to help them grow and succeed in the pet industry. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about business development, networking, and sharing their industry knowledge to empower others.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify needs of prospects and clients based on consulting calls and coaching work, providing input for resolution based on excellent care quality, customer service and brand values.
- Assist members with goal setting to resolve those needs and achieve business growth using The Dog Guru’s program resources, tools, online training and personal experience.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to pet care business owners to improve operations, customer service, and team management via monthly Zoom.
- Facilitate mastermind calls with assigned profit network clients monthly.
- Participate in monthly Zoom coaching sessions with all coaches.
- Create and share educational content during group coaching sessions for all TDG programs as needed.
- Attend, present, and assist in running The Dog Gurus' yearly live event if applicable, including delivering presentations on assigned topics.
- Contribute to the annual virtual event, including hosting sessions, facilitating discussions, and engaging with participants.
- Share industry expertise and best practices to help business owners overcome challenges and achieve success.
- Comfortable reviewing financial statements and assisting clients with financial systems, pricing and budgeting.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive coaching environment for pet care professionals.
- Manage scheduling, email communication, and coaching documentation efficiently.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience. Minimum of five (5) years as a current or former owner/operator of a pet care service business.
- Commitment. Ability to dedicate at least 10 hours per month for onboarding and coaching duties.
- Industry Values. Strong emphasis on pet care quality, exceptional customer service, and team-building.
- Communication Skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational Skills. Strong time management, calendar management, and email handling skills.
- Collaboration. A willingness to share knowledge and support a network of pet care business owners.
- Administrative. Excellent administrative skills including time management, documentation and support
Bonus Points
- Prior experience or membership in The Dog Gurus programs (Knowing Dogs, PGC, GI, Library, etc.) is highly preferred.
- Willingness to manage a minimum of four customers
