Key Responsibilities
1. Operational & Administrative Support
- Assist the Principal in executing day-to-day operations, keeping track of center expenses, and checking inventory/resource allocations.
- Maintain precise operational documentation, including student daily attendance logs, health screening registers, and subsidy administration details.
- Ensure that health, food safety, and sanitization protocols strictly meet ECDA standards across all classrooms.
2. Co-Leadership & Team Coaching
- Provide daily mentorship and coaching to junior educators, relief teachers, and trainee teachers, ensuring standard operating procedures (SOPs) are met.
- Step up to lead center operations, resolve immediate emergencies, and guide staff when the Centre Principal is off-site.
- Assist in evaluating classroom setups and providing constructive feedback on lesson plan execution.
3. Family Relations & Admissions Support
- Act as a welcoming and responsive point of contact for parents regarding daily drop-offs, health updates, and general center feedback.
- Coordinate center tours for prospective families, manage waitlists, and assist with parent-teacher orientation arrangements.
- Lead the coordination of center-wide events, celebrations, field trips, and parent-child workshops.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education – Leadership (DECCE-L) or currently enrolled in/graduating with an ADECL certification.
- Certification: Valid ECDA L2 Language Certification
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of active teaching experience as an L2 teacher, showing a clear track record of taking on extra center assignments or project-lead duties.
- Language Baseline: Minimum of a credit in GCE ‘O’ Level English (or equivalent WPL literacy band).
- Core Competencies: Strong organization skills, approachable communication style, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
