We are now looking for a
HEAD OF PAYMENTS
who will own the execution of Finnair’s payment strategy and lead end-to-end payment development, driving cross-functional collaboration across the Finnair Group to deliver optimal payment solutions, excellent customer experience, and cost efficiency.
You will be responsible for payment compliance across the company in close cooperation with internal stakeholders, and drive continuous optimization of payment-related costs.
In this role, you will:
Own and execute Finnair’s payment strategy across all passenger sales channels to drive sustainable and profitable growth.
Lead and prioritize payment development through cross-functional collaboration and governance across the organization.
Maintain a strong understanding of customers, markets, competitors, and relevant industry and cross-industry benchmarks.
Ensure optimized end-to-end payment solutions, from customer-preferred payment methods to efficient payment architecture and processes.
Represent the voice of the customer by leveraging payment-related insights and feedback to influence development decisions.
Ensure payment compliance across markets and channels, including regulatory requirements, audits, and compliance roadmap leadership.
Optimize payment costs and performance through effective payment mix, KPI management, and profitability-driven actions.
Build and leverage internal and external networks to innovate in payments and represent Finnair as a payments spokesperson when needed.
From you, we wish:
Minimum 5 years of experience in demanding, growth-driven management roles or similar.
Strong understanding of airline selling processes, including revenue and direct and indirect distribution models, is an advantage.
Proven ability to lead mid- to large-scale transformation projects and/or cross-functional working groups and forums.
Understanding of digital services development in digital environment.
Ability to cut through complexity to identify high-impact opportunities and simple solutions and to deliver clear messages and provide actionable insight to diverse audiences.
Strong analytical, business- and process-oriented mindset with the ability to translate insights into action.
Proven capability in financial analysis and building robust business cases.
Solid experience in strategy development, portfolio management, and product management.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a structured and solution-oriented approach.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence diverse audiences and manage and engage internal and external stakeholders effectively.
Excellent leadership capabilities and a collaborative, team-oriented working style.
Alignment with Finnair’s values and ways of working.
Strong change management capabilities.
Master’s degree from a relevant field.
