DETAILING ASSISTANT
Position: Full-Time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Required Education: HS Diploma and/or GED Equivalent

Position Summary:
The Detailing Assistant plays a critical support role within the Detailing Department, helping ensure that projects are accurately scheduled, organized and entered into internal systems for successful execution by the Detailing team. This individual will work closely with Estimators, Detailers and at times Project Managers to ensure project timelines are maintained and documentation is accurate, accessible and up to date.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Monitor the Sold board and add new projects to the Detailing Timeline.

Update the Detailing Timeline based on information from the Sold board and communications with Estimators.

Maintain accurate status of projects in the Detailing Timeline as they progress; move completed projects accordingly.

Perform project setup and data entry tasks.

Review project information and BI Bid to gain an understanding of each new project.

Copy all relevant documents from the Estimate side to the Project side and place them in appropriate folders.

Add bookmarks to plans and specifications for better accessibility and navigation.

Update Comsense with all pertinent job information. This includes: job name, number and shipping details.

Review architectural plans and enter all To/From locations into Comsense.

“Un-Bulk” openings in projects where identical openings occur repeatedly (e.g., assisted living facilities, apartment buildings, hotels)

Maintain and update Monthly Total, Detailer On-Time and Detail Goal spreadsheets.
Minimum Qualifications:

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Solid working knowledge of general computer functions and file management.

Must pass a pre -employment drug screen.

Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong organizational and time management abilities.

Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently.

Meticulous attention to detail.

High level of personal integrity and strong work ethic.

Prior experience with blueprint reading and specification interpretation.
Preferred Qualification (Not Required):

Experience with Comsense software or similar construction management software

Familiarity with door hardware, frames or openings industry terminology
