Domain Architect for New Product Introduction - Global Operations
Job Description
Join New Product Introduction and Shape the Future of Production Architecture.
We are looking for an experienced Domain Architect to join New Product Introduction (NPI) and play a key role in enabling the successful transition of innovative products from development into scalable, compliant, and efficient Production and Service environments. In NPI, we ensure that production is ready when new products are introduced. Whether it is a new hearing aid, battery technology, or a product that includes embedded software, we define and establish the operational architecture required to manufacture, test, and service the product efficiently and reliably.
The Role
As Domain Architect, you will define, govern, and evolve the architecture that supports the introduction of new products into manufacturing and service operations. Working closely with Enterprise Architects and Agile Release Trains (ARTs) in a SAFe environment, you will ensure that operations architecture is fully integrated into the broader Enterprise Architecture and aligned with strategic business objectives.
This role combines architectural leadership with hands-on technical involvement in product development, production, and test environments. Acting as the architectural bridge between R&D, IT, and Operations, you will ensure manufacturability, testability, scalability, and compliance are built into products from the earliest stages of development.
Your Responsibilities
As Domain Architect, you will:
- Define and govern the Operations Architecture supporting New Product Introduction.
- Drive architectural decisions throughout the product lifecycle—from early development to scaled production and service deployment.
- Apply Systems Engineering principles to formalize, govern, and continuously improve operations architecture.
- Collaborate closely with Enterprise Architects, Agile Release Trains, R&D, IT, and Operations stakeholders.
- Ensure architecture supports manufacturability, testability, scalability, and regulatory compliance.
- Support trade studies, architectural evaluations, and decision-making processes.
- Establish and maintain traceability across requirements, architecture, and implementation.
- Contribute directly to product development, production systems, and test environments.
What We Offer
This is a highly influential architecture role at the intersection of Product Development, IT, and Operations.
You will join an experienced team within NPI that consist of 33 professionals—architects, test engineers, and software developers—across Denmark and Poland and play a key role in shaping how future products are designed, industrialized, and brought successfully into production.
NPI is part of Global Operations, where 3,600 colleagues work every day to improve the quality of life for people with hearing loss.
What You Bring
We are looking for a collaborative and technical architect who can navigate stakeholder landscapes and drive alignment with important stakeholders.
Ideally, you bring:
- Good experience as an Architect within Operations or Product Development, preferably from MedTech, electronics, or other regulated industries
- Practical experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and SysML, using these methodologies to drive architectural decisions, support trade studies, ensure traceability, and enable early verification of manufacturability and testability.
- Good systems thinking and a structured approach to architecture and governance.
- An open mindset and the ability to influence and align stakeholders across organizational boundaries.
- A background in Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Experience from hardware or software development is a good foundation, but equally important is the willingness to learn and engage deeply with production and manufacturing processes.
How to Apply
Please submit your CV and cover letter as soon as possible and no later than July 8. Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis.
