Job Summary
As a member of the Health and Wellness Division, you will join an incredibly talented and hardworking team dedicated to providing seniors and other targeted populations throughout Harris County with opportunities to maintain and/or improve their personal health and wellness.
Reporting to the Director of Senior Health & Wellness, the Transportation Coordinator ensures Senior Health and Wellness participants are safely scheduled and transported to Health and Wellness centers and other health-related destinations.
Essential Functions
- Maintain transportation service performance standards by achieving established on-time performance goals and minimizing service disruptions through proactive vendor oversight and issue resolution.
- Coordinate and monitor transportation services supporting 1000+montly passenger trips while ensuring compliance with program eligibility requirements, service area guidelines, and funding requirements.
- Produce accurate transportation utilization, ridership, vendor performance, billing, and compliance reports for leadership.
- Maintain high rider satisfaction by issuing quarterly surveys and addressing riders' concerns and complaints in a timely manner
- Reconcile weekly transportation records, manifest, and trip vouchers for accuracy prior to submission.
- Maintain transportation schedule and documentation, ensuring compliance with funder requirements.
- Serves as the point of contact for resolutions to any issues or delays that may occur during the transportation process. Maintain a database of issues and resolutions.
- Identify opportunities to improve transportation access, participant experience, and operational efficiency.
- Provide evaluation reports to the Director of Senior Health & Wellness on the service provider's performance and level of service quality.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education Level
Associate's Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
Work Experience
1-3 years of customer service experience working with client transportation services and doing administrative data entry work preferred

- Detail-oriented, organized, patient, have good problem-solving skills, and self-motivated
