The key purpose of this role is to support the Head of Capital Modelling, Division and the Divisional Senior Capital Actuary in ensuring that the risk profile of the AXA XL Division is adequately modelled and communicated via an internal capital model that reflects AXA Group standards

This position reports to the Senior Capital Actuary

What you’ll be doing What will your essential

include

Support the development and maintenance of an internal capital model for the Division that reflects AXA Group standards

Maintenance and adjustment of model code, where necessary Support & review of parameterisation processes, ensuring they are completed in time for model use and in line with specified standards

Manage receipt of planning data for capital modelling and communicate with stakeholders to ensure consistency of use

Production and review of model inputs and outputs, including justifying their appropriateness for the Division’s exposure

Assist in the production of such written reports and quantitative output as may be required in the communication and validation of the Capital Model

Respond to queries or ad-hoc investigations regarding the capital or underlying risk position of the Division

Ensure governance processes are appropriately followed, and data quality standards are met

Production and maintenance of model documentation to a sufficient standard to meet regulatory and professional demands in respect of any activity carried out

Support the assessment of any standard formula

(Solvency II or BSCR) for the Division, as required

You will report to Senior Capital Actuary

What you’ll bring We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills: Required Skills and Abilities: Recent graduate of a numerical discipline and/or someone currently sitting actuarial exams, Highly numerate and analytical with very good academic record, Knowledge and/or experience of Solvency II, A self-starter with effective organisational skills, Good written and verbal communication skills, Working knowledge of capital modelling concepts with coding skills beneficial, Excellent Microsoft Excel skills – preferably with experience of VBA
