Job Summary

thyssenkrupp Materials North America is seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our team. This role is responsible for operating brake press machinery to fabricate metal components according to specifications, ensuring quality, accuracy, and efficiency in a fast-paced production environment.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate press brake machinery to bend and form metal parts according to drawings and specifications
• Interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings
• Perform quality inspections using measuring tools to ensure products meet specifications
• Maintain consistent production output and meet daily production targets
• Ensure proper machine setup, tooling selection, and adjustments
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members

• Effectuer le réglage et l’opération de presses plieuses (press brake) afin de plier et façonner des pièces métalliques selon les plans et les spécifications
• Interpréter les plans, bons de travail et dessins techniques
• Effectuer des inspections de qualité à l’aide d’outils de mesure afin de s’assurer que les produits respectent les normes établies
• Maintenir un niveau de production constant et atteindre les objectifs quotidiens
• Assurer le bon réglage des machines, le choix des outils et les ajustements nécessaires
• Respecter toutes les procédures de sécurité et politiques de l’entreprise
• Maintenir un espace de travail propre et organisé
• Communiquer efficacement avec les superviseurs et les membres de l’équipe

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience operating press brake machines
• Previous plant experience in the metals fabrication industry
• Strong basic math skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Ability to use quality inspection tools (e.g., calipers, tape measures, gauges)
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic computer skills / familiarity with CNC controls​

Exigences minimales

• Diplôme d’études secondaires (DES) ou équivalent (GED)
• Expérience en opération de presse plieuse (press brake)
• Expérience préalable en usine dans le secteur de la fabrication métallique
• Bonnes compétences de base en mathématiques
• Capacité de lire et interpréter des plans
• Capacité d’utiliser des outils d’inspection de qualité (ex. : pied à coulisse, ruban à mesurer, jauges)
• Capacité de lire, écrire et parler anglais
• Capacité de rester debout pendant de longues périodes
• Capacité de soulever et transporter jusqu’à 40 lb

Atouts (Qualifications préférées)

• Connaissances de base en informatique / familiarité avec les contrôles CNC

Shift Details

• Afternoon Shift: 3:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.
• Schedule: Monday – Friday

Horaire de travail

• Quart de soir : 15 h 00 à 23 h 30
• Horaire : du lundi au vendredi

Work Environment

• Manufacturing / warehouse setting
• Work performed on the shop floor around heavy machinery
• Safety-sensitive position requiring adherence to all safety policies
