POSITION OVERVIEW 

As a Strategic Account Manager in Malaysia, you'll be at the forefront of that mission, owning some of our most strategic enterprise relationships and shaping how leading organisations protect their futures. 

This is a role for someone who thrives on building genuine partnerships, navigating complex organisations, and delivering results that truly matter — to the customer, and to the business. 

What You'll Own 

 

Your Accounts. Your Relationships. 

  • Be the face of Trend AI to a portfolio of government accounts — their trusted adviser, their advocate, and their go-to for all things cybersecurity 

  • Build deep, multi-level relationships from IT teams all the way to the C-suite, understanding their business priorities, planned initiatives, and long-term goals 

  • Translate customer challenges into compelling, tailored Trend AI solutions that deliver real business outcomes 

 

Your Pipeline. Your Growth. 

  • Proactively identify and drive new opportunities within your account portfolio — balancing relationship depth with a sharp commercial instinct 

  • Partner with resellers and Global System Integrators to expand reach and accelerate deals 

  • Maintain a disciplined, accurate forecast using Salesforce and Trend AI's sales tools — because precision matters 

 

Your Team. Your Ecosystem. 

  • Collaborate closely with Pre-Sales, Technical, Regional Account Managers, and Marketing to bring the best of Trend AI to every customer conversation 

  • Be the internal authority on your accounts — the person colleagues turn to for insights, context, and strategy 

  • Represent Trend AI at industry events, conferences, and forums, building your presence as a thought leader in the enterprise cybersecurity space 

 

What You Bring 

 

Experience That Sets You Apart 

  • 8+ years in enterprise account management within IT or cybersecurity — you know the landscape and have the relationships to show for it 

  • Proven experience managing government or public sector clients, with an understanding of how these organisations buy and what they value 

  • A track record of consistently hitting and exceeding quota in large, complex account environments 

  • Hands-on experience selling cybersecurity, networking, or IT solutions — and a strong understanding of the competitive market 

 

Skills That Make the Difference 

  • Ability to engage, influence, and build credibility at C-level — you're comfortable in the boardroom and the server room alike 

  • Strong knowledge of virtualisation and cloud-based security solutions (a real plus) 

  • Sharp business acumen with the ability to connect technology solutions to real commercial outcomes 

  • Comfortable with 30% domestic travel — some of our most important accounts are beyond KL, and you're happy to get in front of them 

 

The Mindset We're Looking For 

  • Customer-obsessed, commercially driven, and collaborative by nature 

  • A self-starter who takes ownership and doesn't wait to be told what to do 

  • Resilient, curious, and always learning — the cybersecurity world moves fast, and so do you 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, or Management preferred — though what you've achieved matters more than where you studied
