As a Accounts Payable Accountant (m/f/d), you will ensure the efficient and compliant execution of end-to-end accounts payable processes for the Straumann Group. Working closely with suppliers, business partners, and colleagues across multiple regions, you will support accurate financial reporting, drive process excellence, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our finance operations. Your workplace will be in Freiburg im Breisgau (Germany).
Your responsibilities:
- Independent processing and posting of incoming invoices (FI/MM) for European entities
- Reviewing invoices for tax and formal accuracy
- Ensuring compliance with payment deadlines, handling dunning processes, preparing and executing payment runs
- Reconciling accounts payable and clarifying outstanding items
- Review, approval, and accounting reconciliation of travel expense reports for multiple subsidiaries, including related administrative tasks in SAP Concur
- Monthly intercompany reconciliation
- Clarifying accounting issues with internal departments and international suppliers
- Supporting monthly and annual financial closings
- Contributing to ongoing improvements in sub-ledger accounting in coordination with the Accounting Services Europe department
Your profile:
- Completed commercial education or equivalent qualification
- Several years of professional experience in accounts payable accounting, ideally in an internationally operating company
- Proficient in SAP FI/MM and MS Office, ideally with experience in SAP S/4HANA and SAP Concur
- Fluent in English, knowledge of Polish language would be advantageous
- Enjoy working in an international environment, willingness to learn new topics, and a proactive working style
- Team player with a strong sense of responsibility and excellent communication skills
