Eaton’s IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a Materials Supervisor.  This is a full time, on-site position based at our Roxboro, NC manufacturing facility. Relocation assistance is available to those within the US/PR. 

 

The Materials Supervisor is responsible to supervise the packaging, shipping, receiving, material handling and related transportation administrative activities of all assigned employees to meet plant goals. This role is also responsible for the integrity of the plant inventory data.

 

The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $126000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

Eaton announced, on January 26, 2026, the intent to separate its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) into an independent, publicly traded company.  We expect to complete the separation by the end of the first quarter of 2027.  The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices.  If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the spinoff closes, the new company will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide direct supervision for distribution personnel. Participate in decisions involving hiring, wage/salary administration, performance evaluations and other personnel related activities.
  • Provide coaching, motivation, and counseling to employees to encourage optimum performance and continued skill development. Effectively plan and manage the organization and utilization of people, technology and materials to achieve continuous improvement in departmental performance.
  • Maintain relationships with all common carriers and custom brokers to assure that the plant’s logistical needs are met with the most expeditious and cost-effective means. Manage all shipping related customer disputes including but limited to freight damage claims, RMAs, and shipping compliance disputes.  
  • Responsible for planning and directing customer shipments in a way that meets customer needs. Including management of customer dunnage portals and packaging and labels associated with all shipping requirements.    
  • Continuously monitor and improve the working environment to ensure a safe workplace.
  • Maintain processes and controls for complying with the import and export classification laws and regulations of the countries into which its goods are imported or from which they are exported.
  • Direct movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage and work. Maintain all 5S standards for shipping and receiving docks as well as warehouse locations.  
  • Employ continuous improvement framework to improve inventory accuracy and reduce shipping errors.
  • Organize and oversee activities related to annual plant physical inventory. Responsible for development of inventory strategy, training, and execution of the plant physical inventory.
  • Manage and improve on the plant cycle count process. Drive improvement on inventory accuracy based on root cause analysis and corrective actions for discrepancies discovered through cycle count process.
  • Maintain integrity of the system inventory accuracy and ensure that system transactions impacting plant inventory are corrected or performed in a timely basis. Drive improvements in overall inventory accuracy through training and problem-solving techniques.  
  • Manage inbound and outbound logistics for 3rd party outside processing center. Communicate forecasted requirements and ensure 3rd party capabilities match plant requirements. Serve as point of contact for escalations, priorities, and request of additional support.
  • Manage internal dunnage wash process including the inbound logistics for dirty dunnage, schedule of wash operation, and the escalation point of contact for issues related to wash operation.
  • Provide effective & timely verbal and written communication between management, supervisors and departmental personnel
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities. 

Qualifications:

Required Basic Qualifications: 

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution  
  • Minimum two (2) years experience within supply chain, operations and/or manufacturing

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Familiarity with material planning and customer systems (Oracle ERP, Ford DDL, FCA CSDS, and Covisint)
  • Understanding of Supply Chain operational concepts (production planning and scheduling, inventory control logistics, stockroom, shipping/receiving)
