YOUR MISSION

  • Oversee the design execution for Special Make Up products for RCC APAC Apparel with great focus on storytelling, color & material concepts and commercial iterations
  • Lead and drive the collection of market intelligence, providing all involved with accurate and up-to-date information on design trends and developments and utilizes them effectively
  • Work with Product Line Managers and Development to develop unique and relevant collections and stand-alone color & material footwear designs and product stories, respecting the seasonal creative direction, for the APAC Region and support the team in preparing and presenting these to accounts or merch
  • Represent your design areas as design spokesperson at internal and external meetings
  • Drive a close cooperation with designers from inline, other RCC designers and other product areas (FTW & Accessories) to ensure strong collaboration and 360 design concepts when needed
  • Manage, support, motivate, coordinate and develop the assigned RCC APAC design team, including hiring, yearly performance appraisal process, goal setting, budget planning, redundancies
  • Provide strategic design and related support to Sr Director RCC APAC
  • International and domestic travel as required for Key Account meetings, market research, trend and inspiration trips, consumer insights and factories/development centers
  • Mentor and coach team members on the job, promoting and nurturing positive values

YOUR TALENT

  • University degree in Apparel Design and/or relevant field of study
  • At least 7 years of experience in Apparel design, ideally in the fashion, sportswear or casual sports lifestyle industry 
  • Strong Concept and Storytelling skills 
  • Proficiency and refinement in all stages of presentation, from concept to final design review 
  • Developed product sense and taste level as well as strong awareness and understanding of Sportstyle APAC consumer and marketplace
  • Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Strong leadership skills including the ability to motivate and mentor others (at least 2 years of leadership experience)
