About the role:
The Key Account Manager is responsible for managing and developing strategic customer relationships across the Busselton and Bunbury regions. The role focuses on delivering exceptional account management for Solenis' alumina customers by implementing structured and professional account management practices.
In addition, the Key Account Manager is responsible for driving organic business growth through the introduction of additional applications, products, and equipment solutions, while continuously identifying opportunities to enhance profitability and value creation within existing customer accounts.
You will be responsible for:
Account Management
- Conduct regular customer reviews
- Monthly reporting (or as specified)
- Manage pricing and budgets
- Initiate and conduct return on investment (ROI) projects
- Implement customer management & service plan
- Day to day management of support engineers/service technicians and contractors including carrying out performance reviews and managing any performance issues
Technical Services (some or all of these duties will be carried out by this position depending on the structure of the team and allocation of accounts)
- Chemical usage monitoring
- Alumina Process knowledge
- Dosing equipment adjustments, mechanical repairs
- Routine Service Duties as required
Key Competencies & Requirements

- Effective communication and customer relationship management abilities.
- Results-driven with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to priorities and manage workload with minimal supervision.
- Flexible and willing to travel as required.
- Current driver's license.
- Experience with boilers and/or cooling towers preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Previous experience in sales, service, or account management is advantageous.
- Degree in Chemistry, Science, Engineering, or a related field, or a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the alumina processing and chemical industry.
- Must reside in, or be willing to relocate to, Busselton or Bunbury.
