Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely annual Zakat returns, in accordance with the latest ZATCA guidelines and updates.
  • Ensure proper calculation and review of monthly VAT and Withholding Tax (WHT) returns.
  • Coordinate, Prepare and Respond to ZATCA audits and assessments, including Zakat, VAT, and WHT inquiries.
  • Coordinate and compile documentation for Local Content audits, and actively communicate with relevant authorities, external auditors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution and compliance.
  • Handle Transfer Pricing requirements and ensure timely submission of related documentation in accordance with ZATCA regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal, group holding and subsidiaries teams to ensure accurate GL accounting and reflect tax impacts on the financial statements.
  • Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring proper tax provisioning and reconciliations.
  • Provide management with timely and accurate tax-related reports.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with tax regulations and company policies.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws, IFRS, IAS, and their application within the pharmaceutical manufacturing sector.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; professional qualification i.e. ACCA/ACA/CA/CPA is a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of KSA tax regulations, including Zakat, VAT, WHT and TP is a must.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in accounting and taxation, preferably in the pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry.
  • Familiarity with IFRS and IAS standards.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in both English and Arabic.
