We are seeking an experienced and reliable Facilities Maintenance Technician II to join our team. This diverse role is responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of our manufacturing equipment and physical location, ensuring a safe, functional, and comfortable environment for employees and visitors. The ideal candidate is a proactive hands-on problem-solver with some electromechanical experience, who is conscientious and attentive to details. This role often operates with a high level of independence and technical ownership, requiring the ability to diagnose and resolve complex electro-mechanical issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
First shift Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm

Responsibilities
Follow a strict monthly Preventative Maintenance schedule for production machinery and building systems to prevent costly downtime; Schedule and complete work-scope in a timely manner
Write and follow preventative maintenance work instructions
Perform troubleshooting and emergency maintenance on production and facility equipment – diagnose problems, repair or replace parts, test and adjust, put back into safe working order; This could include troubleshooting electrical control cabinets, and hydraulic systems
Provide technical ownership of manufacturing equipment and systems
Perform mold tool maintenance and repairs
Maintain accurate maintenance records in Blue Mountain RAM software
Identify and drive opportunities for improvement and aid cross-functional teams and improvement events
Escalate complex issues to specialized contractors and oversee their work on-site
Support critical spare parts identification and parts procurement
Be part of planning and executing facilities shutdowns as needed
Support engineering including equipment installation, commissioning, and validation activities
Conduct regular safety inspections (fire extinguishers, emergency lighting) and ensure all work meets OSHA standards
General Repairs: occasionally perform routine maintenance tasks including minor drywall repairs, painting, flooring fixes, and door/lock adjustments; Replace light bulbs, ballasts; conduct minor electrical troubleshooting
HVAC & Plumbing: conduct basic troubleshooting of HVAC systems (filter changes, belt checks) and clear clogs, fix leaks, or replace bathroom fixtures
Perform other activities as required by management
Qualifications
3 years of experience in a technician role (electrical/mechanical)
Hands-on experience in advanced electrical, mechanical, electro-mechanical, or packaging/assembly line system maintenance and repair beneficial
High school diploma/equivalent; completion of a recognized craft apprenticeship; equivalent experience will be considered
Strong electro-mechanical aptitude; a background in industrial manufacturing, including hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and PLC/electronically controlled equipment
Preferred experience supporting injection molding equipment, tool and die systems, or other precision manufacturing machinery, servo drives, sensors, motors, conveyors, and automated production equipment
Ability to use a wide variety of hand and power tools safely
Experience using a Digital Multi Meter for testing and diagnostics
Familiarity with office suite of applications (MS Word, Excel, Project), and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) or basic email/ticketing software
Able to read and understand manuals, electrical diagrams, P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams)
Familiarity with manual machining (mills, lathes) and tool repair are beneficial
Willing and able to be on call for emergencies on a rotating basis. Valid driver’s license
Self-starter, highly organized, systematic, and precise
Able to multitask and have a strong sense of urgency
Comfortable working independently and in team situations
Physical Requirements
Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to feel, handle; and talk and hear
Frequently required to sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Must be able to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds
Must be able to climb ladders, crouch in tight spaces, and remain on feet for extended periods
Specific vision abilities required by this job include peripheral vision and depth perception

The estimated hourly range for this role, based in the United States of America is $28-38. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to an individual's qualifications, location, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, employees are eligible to participate in one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
