As the Industry 4.0 Manager, you will lead the design and implementation of advanced industrial technologies across the enterprise. You will be responsible for defining the digital roadmap, managing complex automation projects, and ensuring that the industrial infrastructure supports modern data-driven capabilities. Your role involves managing a high-performing technical team to deliver solutions in areas such as edge computing, predictive maintenance, real-time monitoring, and virtual commissioning. You will work closely with Plant Operations, Engineering, IT Infrastructure, and Data Analytics teams to create a seamless digital ecosystem that drives competitive advantage through the Smart Factory model.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field. Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
Experience: 7+ years of experience in industrial automation, manufacturing IT, or digital transformation within a production environment, including at least 3 years in a leadership role managing technical engineering teams.
Travel: 10-25%
Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday; However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute the long-term Industry 4.0 strategy and digital roadmap for the organization.
- Manage and mentor a diverse team of IIoT Engineers, Computer Vision Engineers, and Digital Twin Engineers to ensure technical excellence.
- Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new industrial technologies and software platforms, including AI and machine learning solutions.
- Collaborate with manufacturing leadership to identify pain points and opportunities for automation and process optimization.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of digital twins for critical assets to enhance predictive maintenance and simulation capabilities.
- Ensure the security, integrity, and scalability of IIoT infrastructure in alignment with corporate IT security policies.
- Manage capital and operational budgets (CAPEX and OPEX) related to digital transformation initiatives.
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops and training to drive adoption of digital tools and foster a culture of innovation across the factory floor.
- Apply deep expertise in IIoT protocols (e.g., MQTT, OPC-UA), computer vision applications, and digital twin frameworks to guide solution design and implementation.
- Leverage cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, Azure) to enable scalable and efficient industrial IoT solutions.
- Ensure alignment with ISA-95 standards and effectively manage the convergence of IT and OT systems.
- Lead project delivery using Agile or Scrum methodologies, ensuring initiatives are executed efficiently and deliver measurable business value.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
