Classified Substitute

POSITION SUMMARY

 Substitute for Office Staff, Paraprofessionals, or Campus Monitors who are absent or unable to attend.  Salida del Sol Academy is a K-8 dual language charter school in Greeley, CO and welcomes Spanish and English speaking guests.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• HS Diploma/GED
• Bilingual skills – Spanish desired but not required

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Good problem solving ability; good judgement
• Ability to interact appropriately with children of different ages

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Actual duties and responsibilities may vary depending upon assignments and other factors.

• An eagerness to help students where and when needed.
• Good secretarial skills and knowledge/proficiency in Microsoft Word is strongly preferred if you desire to work in an office.
• Willingness and/or experience in helping special needs students if you wish to sub for special education assistants.
• Classroom experience and/or willingness to sub for a regular classroom aide.
• Fingerprinting and background checks are required for all classified subs.
