Knowledge, Skills, and Experience


• Aviation Maintenance Technician, preferable. Aeronautical/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Preferred: specialization in continuing airworthiness, reliability, or maintenance engineering.
• 3–5 years in maintenance engineering, reliability, or technical support in a cargo airline, MRO Part 145, or RAC OPS I operator.
• Experience implementing AD/SB, MEL/CDL analysis, troubleshooting, and AOG support.
• Proficiency with technical manuals (AMM/SRM/FIM/IPC/CMM) and M&E systems (AMOS, Trax).
• Intermediate‑advanced technical English (manuals and OEM/MRO communication).
• DGAC Guatemala maintenance technician license (or equivalent demonstrable experience in technical engineering).
• Current training: HF/CRM Maintenance, FOD, EWIS, FTS, SMS, Human Factors.
• Type‑rated training (e.g., B757, ATR42)



Key Responsibilities






• Maintain updated technical configuration of aircraft, engines, APU, and components with complete traceability.
• Analyze and implement Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs), and manufacturer alerts; issue engineering packages/work orders (Engineering Orders).
• Administer the maintenance program (MPD/MRB/AMP): intervals, escalations, and reliability‑based optimization.
• Provide technical support during AOG events, troubleshooting, and resolution of repetitive defects (MEL/CDL).
• Develop repair instructions (REB/DER when applicable), task cards, material lists (MRP/BOM), and special tooling requirements.
• Coordinate with MROs/145 and OEMs for repairs and technical solutions.
• Execute the Reliability Program: KPIs for repetitive defects, maintenance‑related delays/cancellations, MTBUR/MTBF, premature removals.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly technical reports, corrective/preventive action plans, and presentations for Reliability Committees.
• Ensure compliance with RACs (DGAC Guatemala), company manuals (MCM/MEL/TTOS/RSQM), and IOSA/ISAGO requirements (if applicable).
• Control revisions of AMM, IPC, SRM, FIM, CMM, and technical alerts; manage required licenses/certifications.
• Promote Just Culture/SMS, investigate maintenance events, and participate in internal/external audits.
• Lead modification projects (avionics, structural, cargo cabin, reconfigurations), including certification and documentation.
• Implement digitalization initiatives (e‑logs, e‑task cards, reliability BI dashboards) and industry best practices.
