How you'll make an impact:
MRP is searching for a passionate and agile Sheeter Operator for our Sheeting Department who is a problem-solver and is excited by challenges and the opportunity to build something great with us. As a Sheeter Operator, you will play a crucial role in operating and maintaining the sheeting equipment to ensure the accurate cutting and processing of paper and other materials according to customer specifications. The operator ensures that quality standards, production goals, and safety protocols are consistently met.

What will you do in this role?
-
Adhere to all safety policies and actively participate in various safety programs and initiatives.
-
Comply with all organizational policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook and Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Follow all GMP requirements in line with the organization's ISO certifications (ISO 9001) and attend ongoing in-house quality education classes.

Operate sheeter machinery efficiently and safely in accordance with company procedures.

Set up and adjust machine settings to meet job specifications.
-
Monitor machine operations to ensure quality output and make adjustments as necessary.
-
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of sheeter equipment.
-
Conduct quality checks, including measuring and inspecting finished materials.

Maintain accurate production and quality records.
-
Ensure proper use of raw materials and minimize waste.
-
Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized work area.

Perform other duties as assigned
What does it take to be successful in this role?
Basic Requirements
-
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
-
Ability to read and interpret work orders and production schedules.
-
Familiarity with quality control standards and procedures.
-
Basic computer and math skills including conversion of dimensions from US to Metric and ability to use caliper measuring tools.

Obtain Forklift and Roll Clamp Certification (Certification to be obtained by in-house designated trainer).
Preferred Requirements

Previous experience operating sheeter or similar machinery

High school diploma or equivalent required.
The physical requirements and work environment:
Physical Demands

Standing/Walking: Ability to stand and walk for duration of shift

Lifting/Carrying: Regularly lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.

Repetitive Motions: Frequent use of hands and arms for machine operation and material handling.

Visual/Manual Requirements: Ability to read gauges, measure materials, and perform quality checks.
Environmental Conditions

Temperature: Work performed in a manufacturing environment with seasonal temperature variations.

Noise Level: Exposure to moderate to high noise levels; hearing protection provided.

Safety Gear: “Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toe shoes

Other Factors: Occasional exposure to dust, ink, or chemicals used in production.
Schedule & Work Hours

Full-time position; standard schedule is 5AM – 3PM (Monday to Thursday) with occasional overtime as needed.
