The Quality Auditor checks parts and records after work has been completed to make sure everything was performed correctly, safely, and in accordance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements. Once all requirements are met, the Quality Auditor may issue a certificate of conformance or approve the parts to be released back into service.
This role is important to product safety. It focuses on verifying work, reviewing paperwork, and making sure procedures are followed. No prior quality or inspection experience is required—training and procedures are provided—but attention to detail and willingness to learn are essential.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Inspect Work and Parts
Examine parts or components that are either new, aftermarket, or that have undergone maintenance or repair
Make sure work was completed according to work instructions and customer requirements.
Inspect components for obvious handling damage.
Review and Complete Records
Check paperwork for accuracy and completeness
Confirm required steps were followed before approval
Record results clearly and correctly
Approve for Return to Service (When Authorized)
Sign off and release parts back into service when all requirements are met by issuing an 8130-3 Maintenance Release tag or COC QC Release tag
Never approve work that does not meet safety or regulatory rules
Follow Rules and Procedures
Follow FAA regulations and company quality procedures
Report issues and work with others to resolve them
Support audits when requested
Work Schedule
The quality auditor's expected work schedule will be Tuesday - Saturday
Requirements
Associate degree or equivalent
Company authorization to perform inspections and approvals
Ability to follow written instructions and procedures
Strong attention to detail and sense of responsibility
Must be fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing)
Experience in quality or auditing preferred
Experience in aviation, manufacturing, or regulated environments preferred
