Job Description

As an Electronics/Electrical Technician, a typical day might include the following:

  • Test, repair, upgrade, and troubleshoot problems of high complexity to the component level on SEL products.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge in SEL processes and products to ensure product quality and integrity.
  • Provide basic troubleshooting training to junior department personnel.
  • Partner with other divisions to satisfy the needs of our customers.

 

This job might be for you if:

  • You have a diploma/degree in electronics and communication, electrical engineering or equivalent.
  • You have a strong understanding of analog, digital, and microprocessor-based electronics.                                                                     
  • You enjoy working in an electronics lab work environment.
  • You enjoy solving complex problems alongside your team.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of scripting and programming languages.
  • Proficiency in analysis and presentation of technical information.
  • Process improvement experience.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Lift, push, pull and maneuver up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 35 pounds occasionally
  • Sit and stand for at least 8 hours
  • Vision correctable to 20/30 or better
  • Ability to differentiate color
  • Reach, bend, and twist
