As a Financial Controller you will have the responsibility for financial controlling for one or more legal entities in Schibsted Media. You will be responsible for the actual financials, ensuring that reported figures are accurate, complete, and reflect the underlying business reality. The Financial Controller will provide the financial foundation and insight needed to understand and explain performance across both legal entities and business areas.

The Financial Controller will report to the Head of Financial Controlling. The position will be located in either Stockholm or Oslo, and it will require some travelling.

The Financial Controller is responsible for:

• Own the financial review and control of the legal entity

• Review and challenge the figures produced by Group Accounting

• Provide financial analysis, insight, and context to the reported figures

• Act as the owner of statutory reporting for the legal entities

• Maintain a focus on exceptions, anomalies, and business-specific risks

• Provide input to accruals and provisions

• Support the interpretation and application of local GAAP

• Own the audit execution at the legal entity level

Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate should have:

• Master’s degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related field

• Analytical mindset

• In-depth knowledge of the financial controlling process

• Experience with working with analytical tools such as Tableau/PowerBI or similar

• Independently driven, but collaborative and easy to work with

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Fluency in English and Swedish or Norwegian
