Job Description
Aircraft Structural Dynamics Engineer
Location: Montreal, Quebec or Toronto, Ontario, Canada; United States (multiple locations)
Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in Canada and eligible to obtain Canadian Controlled Goods (CGD) clearance OR the United States
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with Aerospace specialization
- Master's degree preferred
- Relevant aerospace industry experience
- Experience with aeroelasticity and aeroservoelasticity analysis
- Experience performing aeroelastic and aeroservoelastic simulations
- Experience developing and maintaining finite element models
- Experience with finite element analysis
- Experience with Nastran preferred
- Knowledge of aircraft structures, aerodynamics, control surface actuations, and control laws
- Experience with dynamic system stability analysis and frequency response calculations
- Experience supporting ground vibration testing (GVT) and flight flutter testing (FFT)
- Experience documenting engineering analyses and certification reports
- Experience developing, maintaining, or supporting engineering software and analysis methods
- Programming experience in one or more of the following:
- MATLAB
- Python
- Fortran
- C/C++
- Knowledge of airworthiness regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and project planning skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Fluent in English and French
- Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams
