Job Responsibilities:
To perform GMAW welding operations which produce quality components or finished goods that meet or exceed customer requirements
Responsibilities:
Responsible for quality and conformance of product to customer specifications per control plans utilizing TS16949 & ISO14001 documented systems; authority to stop non-conforming processes and report same to supervisor, Quality Assurance and/or Engineering department representative
Perform GMAW welding on components, sub-assemblies and finished goods
Perform basic set-up, maintenance and weld adjustments to GMAW welding equipment
Follow work instructions which identify customer-specific criteria, including safety-critical welds and minimum quality requirements
100% visual inspection & packaging of product
Be able to repair welded components by grinding, reshaping, and/or re-welding
Participate in Continuous Improvement activities including suggestions which improve safety, quality and/or efficiency
Complete Inspection Data Sheets, production reports or other documents as required
Tagging and labeling per the work instructions
Housekeeping and other activities as assigned
Qualifications:
1-2 years manufacturing experience preferred
GMAW, GTAW, or SMAW welding experience preferred but not required
Basic machine operation experience helpful
Excellent attendance and attention to detail
Skills:

Basic math skills
Ability to work overtime as needed
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent required
Basic GMAW welder training provided by Eagle Bend Manufacturing
Participate in regular re-training as required by customer and/or Eagle Bend
