What you bring to SBHG (qualifications):
Education:
- Graduation from an accredited school of licensed vocational nursing or psychiatric technology required.
- Associate's degree, preferred.
Experience
- One (1) year service experience working as a nurse in a behavioral health field
- One (1) year medication administration experience required.
License or Certification:
- Valid California LVN or LPT license.
- Current CPR certification.
How you will make a difference (job overview):
The LVN / LPT provides direct client care including medications and basic medical intervention and education, following standard nursing practices.
Division/Program Overview:
24/7 voluntary residential setting specifically for Transitional Age Youth (TAY) at risk and need a higher level of care, but lower than a psychiatric hospital.
Facility equipped to serve up to 15 Youth.
Provides mental health services that include individual therapy, group rehabilitation, medication management, and case management.
Incorporates the tenets of recovery, peer support, and identifying community connections.
Connects individuals to educational and vocational services and initiating the process of locating housing.
