
PR / Communications Specialist
Job Description
CliniCloud is a hardware startup building world class consumer medical devices.
We’re a small and growing team of physicians, designers, engineers, developers, marketing and business people preparing to bring our first product to market - titled, the medical kit of the future.
We are launching this product shortly via a crowd-funding campaign and we are seeking an experienced and connected PR / Communications expert to join our team to help build awareness of our product and brand during this important launch phase. The role will be an initial 3 month contract based in our US office with the view to extending to a full-time permanent position.
You will be working directly with the CMO, CFO and founding team on the development and implementation of the launch campaign and on all aspects of PR leading-up to the campaign.
Duties will including but not limited to.
- Coming up with launch strategies with the C level / founding team.
- Collating our pre-launch media lists and reaching out to initial journalists.
- Arranging interviews with journalists and bloggers that reach out during campaign.
- Working with the team to develop suitable PR angles for approaching different types of audiences and publications during the campaign.
- Writing content (releases, social media, blog posts, updates) during campaign.
- Sending press kits to interested parties.
- Collating list of journalists / bloggers who would like to trial our product when ready.

Skills and Experience required
- Demonstrated experience launching a technology (ideally CE) brand.
- Demonstrated experience securing press and blog coverage within relevant segments: Tech, Business, Mainstream, Lifestyle, Health and Wellness, Parenting etc.
- Existing relationships with reporters and bloggers within above segments in the US
- Degree qualified in PR, Communications, Business, Health or Engineering
- Experience writing newsworthy articles / releases for varying audiences
- High level of interest in technology and ideally health / wellness / medical technology.
Multi-lingual candidates and / or those with press relationships within Europe and Asia Pacific will be highly regarded.
Salary commensurate with experience.
Role commences as a contract but has the potential to move to full time employment for the right candidate.
