Position Overview
Inabia is seeking a motivated Physical Therapist (PT) to join the rehabilitation team in Kilgore. This role focuses on helping patients recover mobility, strength, and independence after injury, surgery, or illness in a supportive rehabilitation environment.
The ideal candidate is passionate about improving patient outcomes and enjoys working collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations to assess patients’ mobility, strength, balance, coordination, and functional limitations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans designed to restore movement, reduce pain, and improve overall physical function.
- Provide hands-on therapy including therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance training, mobility retraining, and neuromuscular re-education.
- Assist patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgery, neurological conditions, stroke, and general deconditioning.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment programs based on patient response and rehabilitation goals.
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, injury prevention strategies, and safe mobility techniques.
- Document evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with regulatory and facility standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Support discharge planning by recommending assistive devices, home modifications, or continued therapy services when appropriate.
Requirements
- Active Texas Physical Therapist License
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills
- Experience in rehabilitation or skilled nursing preferred
