We are seeking a Vice President, Life Valuation to lead a critical function responsible for financial reporting across a large life insurance block of business. This role will oversee reserve calculations, financial disclosures, and reporting processes, while serving as a key subject matter expert in life valuation.

This position is available on site at our Downtown Houston or League City, TX offices.
What You'll Do:
Lead the life valuation function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, including reserve calculations, financial disclosures, and statutory reporting
Serve as a subject matter expert in life valuation, bringing deep technical knowledge to guide decision-making and best practices
Evaluate current valuation methodologies and processes, challenging the status quo and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Drive enhancements in analytics and reporting to provide more meaningful insights into the performance and risks of the block of business
Oversee and monitor a large, established block of business, ensuring ongoing financial integrity and visibility
Partner with finance, actuarial, and senior leadership to communicate results, insights, and strategic recommendations
Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to the valuation team, elevating overall capability and performance
Establish and implement best practices across valuation processes, controls, and reporting standards
Lead and support transformation initiatives, including modernization of tools, processes, and analytics
Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related field with a strong mathematical background is required.
Six to eight years of experience.
Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA).
