
Physician Compensation Specialist
Job Description
Essential Job Function
- Completes reconciliations for physician-related activities and supports non-physician financial tasks as needed.
- Performs routine/monthly tasks for accurate financial decision making, including financial analysis and variance analysis.
- Conducts special projects related to physician compensation analysis and collaborates with physicians, Directors, and Senior Leaders to resolve issues.
- Administers select physician CME activities and license renewals.
- Assists in the annual budget process by preparing summaries and schedules.
- Manages select CHMG physician compensation activities, including plan updates, bonus payout processing, productivity reporting, and benefit enrollment oversight.
- Provides expertise in financial computer systems and assists others in understanding physician transaction processing and reporting.
- Supports monthly financial close process by preparing schedules and documentation.
- Analyzes actual to budget variances to ensure accurate financial statements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent; Minimum of 15 credit hours in accounting or closely related course work at an accredited institutionPreferred: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
Experience
- Required: Minimum 4 years’ experience in directly related role. Candidates with preferred education (Bachelors degree or higher inrelated field). Preferred: Experience in hospital/healthcare industry
