Job Description
Chalet Manager
Department: Management
Employment Type: Fixed Term Contract
Location: French Alps
Reporting To: Alpine Team
Description
From leading and motivating your team to organising supplies and ensuring top-notch standards, you’ll juggle a variety of responsibilities. One minute you might be planning staff rotas, the next you’re checking chalets or making sure everything is perfectly set for arriving guests.
You’ll be part of a supportive team of Chalet Managers and Guest Services Managers, with guidance from experienced, full-time Le Ski team members—so you’ll never be on your own.
You’ll take charge of your chalet hosts—creating weekly rotas, running team meetings, and keeping morale high. You’ll also provide pastoral support, being the go-to person if anyone is unwell or needs a bit of extra help.
You’ll handle all ordering across your resort’s chalets, from delicious food and wine to fresh laundry—making sure everything is in place for a seamless guest experience.
You’ll help maintain the high standards we’re known for by carrying out regular chalet checks, reviewing guest feedback, and occasionally jumping in to support hosts during their shifts.

- Begin the day in the office, placing online orders for food, wine and laundry
- Review guest feedback questionnaires and complete other administrative tasks
- Conduct regular chalet visits to carry out cleaning checks and maintain high standards
- Provide hands-on support and guidance to Chalet Hosts as needed

- Make use of quieter daytime periods for personal activities or additional tasks
- Coordinate work schedules with resort operations, including shared staff days off
- Ensure smooth day-to-day chalet operations across the resort
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Adaptable - the role is varied day to day and you never know when staff might get ill or injured so you will need to have an open mind to make changes if this happens.

Previous experience as a Chalet Host is advantageous. We will also look for relevant work experience in catering and hospitality.
Occasionally you need to drive. You must have held a full driving licence for a minimum of 2 years. We provide winter driver training.
