Job Description

As the Associate Director, Medical Affairs you will...
Key Responsibilities:
· Establishes strong working relationships with, and is a key company representative to groups of experts, medical professional groups, societies, regulatory groups and represents the company at international scientific meetings
· Responds to clinical and scientific inquiries regarding marketed or developmental Gilead products
· Presents scientific and clinical data utilizing scientific resources to deliver impactful presentations in a variety of different settings
· Supports the development of complex clinical data through the clinical trials and investigative studies protocol.
· Answers and coordinates complex responses to clinical inquiries or disclosures to customers
· Works collaboratively with Gilead personnel in Global Medical Affairs, across Medical Affairs, Clinical Research, Marketing, Market Access, HEOR, Global Safety and Medical Communication
· National/International travel as required
· Collaborate with project management, medical communications and commercial teams in multiple areas including publication planning, speaker education programs, regional consultant meetings, manuscript review and conference preparation
· Working on early development of a variety of projects, he/ she will provide independent thought and initiative in the further development of specific projects and ensuing presentations and reports
· Attends major conferences and help coordinate medical affairs activities at conferences and may present to external audience
· Undertakes material review
· Manage projects to completion, anticipating obstacles and difficulties that may arise, resolving them in a collaborative manner
· Supports the successful delivery of the Medical Plan of Action
Basic Qualifications:
10+ Years with BS/BA
OR8+ Years with MS/MA or MBA
Preferred Experience:
· 8+ years of relevant experience with Bachelors degree. Qualified physician, pharmacist or PhD with experience in liver diseases or diabetes
· Extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry or a physician with a background in clinical hepatology or endocrinology
· Demonstrate organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills along with excellent judgment and ability to work in a team environment.
· Travel to domestic and international conferences
· Experience in research, clinical trials desirable
· Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry, business conduct and legal/health system environment
· Resilient profile with the ability to deliver in an ambiguous environment
· Ability to engage and manage multiple stakeholders to achieve the objective
· Curious with learning agility
· Operationally excellent
· Organized with systematic approach to prioritization
· Process orientated to achieve the business objective
