Position Details:
💙 Your Impact
As a Registered Nurse in Test & Treatment, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient-centered care. You’ll be accountable for coordinating care, supporting families, and ensuring every child receives safe, effective, and dignified treatment.
🔑 What You’ll Do
- Provide and oversee high-quality patient care for assigned pediatric patients
- Coordinate care across departments to ensure seamless service delivery
- Involve patients and families in care decisions and education
- Develop and document individualized care plans, including goals and outcomes
- Perform safe, structured patient handoffs (SBAR, bedside report, etc.)
- Communicate effectively with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
- Interpret diagnostic and lab data to inform care decisions
- Delegate and guide LPNs and support staff within scope of practice
- Participate in quality improvement, training, and professional development initiatives
- Uphold patient rights, confidentiality, and Mercy’s values in all interactions
🎯 What You Bring
Education & Licensure
- Graduate of an accredited RN program
- Active RN license (or compact) in the state of practice
Certifications
- BLS (required within 30 days of hire)
- Additional certifications may include: ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, ENPC, OCN, CPHON, and more (based on unit needs)
💪 Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
- Prolonged standing and walking
- Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and movement throughout shift
