We're looking for an experienced Senior Quality Engineer for our Plymouth, MN location who thrives in a leadership role and is passionate about driving quality, continuous improvement, and product safety in a manufacturing environment.

Compensation

  • Competitive salary (based on experience) $75,000-$88,000
  • Bonus eligibility (if applicable)

Work Schedule

  • Full-time, in office, daytime hours
  • Occasional travel may be required for customers, vendors, or other facilities

What You'll Do

  • Lead quality system development, product safety, and compliance initiatives
  • Support New Product Development (NPD) including: PFMEA, DFMEA, design reviews, and product specifications
  • Develop and implement: Process control plans, SPC systems, and quality metrics
  • Use statistical analysis tools, DOE, and GR&R studies to improve processes
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) using 5 Whys and structured methods
  • Direct and mentor Quality Technicians and Specialists
  • Develop and deliver training on quality systems, SPC, and continuous improvement tools
  • Support supplier quality and vendor audits
  • Create and communicate quality performance metrics and reports to leadership
  • Participate in cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives

 

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in: Engineering, Quality, Mechanical, Industrial Technology, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in quality engineering or process engineering in manufacturing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
  • Experience in plastics packaging, food, or medical manufacturing
  • Knowledge of ISO, SQF, GMP, and quality systems audits

Skills & Experience

  • Strong knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis tools
  • Experience with Root cause analysis, DOE, process validation, and capability studies
  • Proven ability to lead projects and direct team activities
  • Excellent communication and training skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects independently

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Combination of office and production floor environment
  • Occasional lifting (up to ~30 lbs for samples or tooling support)
  • Ability to work both independently and cross-functionally
